Bishop Dr.  Ethan W. Ogletree Sr.

Senior Pastor/Founder

Bishop Dr. Ethan W. Ogletree Sr. is a passionate and generous leader whose powerful sermons and teachings inspire people across all ages, backgrounds, and walks of life. His own journey from homelessness and addiction to hope and restoration through Christ has uniquely equipped him to reach the next generation with authenticity and compassion.

He faithfully served at First Metropolitan Church and The Church Without Walls in Houston before founding New Hope Community Church in 2000, now known as New Destiny Praise and Worship Center. Under his leadership, the church has grown spiritually and numerically, expanding its reach through international missions and community impact.

In 2018, Bishop Ogletree was appointed State Overseer of South Texas for the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship, and in 2020, he was consecrated as Bishop. He holds a Bachelor of Science from Regents College–New York and both a Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry from Houston Graduate School of Theology.

Bishop Ogletree is the author of three books, the Senior Pastor of New Destiny Praise and Worship Center, and proudly serves as State Bishop for South Texas. He is married to Dr. Pamela Ogletree, and together they are blessed with three children and six grandchildren.

First Lady

Dr. Pamela Ogletree is a sincere and inspiring woman who is passionate about Educating, Equipping, and Empowering individuals and community stakeholders, with a special focus on mental health and wellness.

In June 2000, Dr. Pamela co-founded New Hope Community Church—now known as New Destiny Praise and Worship Center—alongside her husband, Bishop Dr. Ethan W. Ogletree Sr. She is an anointed and gifted speaker who embraces the Holy Spirit’s call to teach, presenting God’s Word in ways that are both practical and transformative for everyday life.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Houston-Downtown, a Master of Education from Prairie View A&M University, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Psychology and Christian Counseling from Louisiana Baptist University. With over 28 years of experience in education, Dr. Ogletree has served as a special education teacher, school counselor, and coordinator of an At-Risk program supporting teen parents.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and LPC-Supervisor, she has operated her private practice since 2005, providing direct supervision to aspiring counselors. Affectionately known as “Dr. P”, she is the CEO of Hope4Life Counseling and Consulting Services, where she offers consulting, empowerment, and mentorship programs to help individuals reach their fullest potential and positively impact their families and communities.

As a devoted First Lady, Dr. Pamela believes that the essence of a fruitful spiritual life is continual growth and transformation.
