New Destiny Praise and Worship Center began as New Hope Community Church in 2000, birthed from Pastor Ethan and First Lady Pamela Ogletree’s vision to serve the northwest Houston community. What started with 19 core members meeting in their home quickly grew into worship services at Shotwell Middle School and Bible studies at Hope Evangelical Community Church.

Expanding the vision...
In 2002, with fewer than 100 members, the church purchased 12 acres on West Greens Road and built its first facility, opening in 2004. Membership grew to over 1,200, and the ministry expanded with youth programs, community outreach through the City of Refuge CDC, and cultural tours abroad.
Where we are headed...
In 2012, God led Pastor Ogletree to transition the name from New Hope to New Destiny Praise and Worship Center, marking a new season of worship and impact. Today, New Destiny continues to provide hope, serve the community, and create an atmosphere of powerful worship and God’s presence.
